CRUCIBLES AND TONGS

We can supply a wide range of crucibles (conical, cylindrical, flat-bottom) from 1200ºc to 1800ºc. We also provide stainless steel tongs, modified to suit the shape of the crucible.

TIMESWITCH

A digital timeswitch (24 hour 7 day) with battery backup is available, fitted into the control panel to allow precise setting of a regular daily/weekly heating routine.

All types of thermocouples can be provided. We can also supply calibration certificated at 3 points (customer choice) supplied by an independent UKAS/NAMAS accredited laboratory, traceable to UK national standard.

CAL3300 Controller
The 24x48mm controller has single adjustable ramp with a timed or continuous dwell, which is useful for gentle heating of ceramic work tubes or samples. Actual measured furnace temperature is displayed with pushbutton access to change setpoint.

CAL9400 Controller
The 48x48 mm controller is a simple pid control with setpoint and actual measured temperature displayed.

CAL9500 Controller
The 48x48mm controller offers simple user control.
Setpoint and actual measured temperature are displayed simultaneously.
A 126 segment programmer allocated in up to 31 programs including guaranteed dwell.

West ProVU Programmer
The text based controller is available in multilanguages and offers simple user control.
Setpoint and actual measured temperature are displayed simultaneously. An onscreen trend function shows historic data and dual colour LED backlight changes on alarm condition for improved visibility.
A 255 segment programmer allocated in up to 64 programs including guaranteed dwell.

Over-temperature protection
West 6700 48x48mm limit controller protects the furnace and its contents at any specified temperature.

Digital Communications

RS232 allowing a single controller to communicate with a computer .
RS485 allowing multiple controllers to communicate by "Daisychaining"

Software
Software packages are available for controller configuration and monitoring.

Cascade Control
Available when close monitoring of the work load is important. An additional thermocouple is placed close to the load and a second controller is fitted. The thermocouple sends signals to the normal temperature controller which in turn adjusts the element temperature.

Chart Recorders
A wide selection of both analogue and graphic recorders are available on request.

Calibration Certification
All controllers and chart recorders can be supplied with three point calibration (customer choice) certificate supplied by the controller manufacturere

A range of 4 industrial hotplates with the following features:

  • Continuous operating temperature of up to 300°C (572°F), with thermostat fitted, 400°C (752°F), with digital control fitted.
  • Heating provided via high quality mineral insulated metal sheathed elements.
  • Fitted with a thermostat as standard (digital controller, optional extra)
  • Works off a single phase power supply.
  • Top plate in mild steel (stainless steel or aluminium top plates are available as an optional extra)
  • Casing and terminal cover fabricated in stainless steel.
